AYRSHIRE MEN'S FOURBALL CHAMPIONSHIP - Two pairings through to round three

While the first round ties in the 2025 Ayrshire men's Fourball Championship are due to be completed by Sunday the 27th of April, two pairings have already secured their places in round three.

Several more first round matches have been completed recently.

Douglas Hamilton & James Fyfe (Girvan) won their home tie against Craig Adams & Kevin McCormick (Irvine) by 2&1 and will travel to play Paul Kytzia & Joe McSorley (Beith) in round two.

Tom Armstrong and David Munn (Moorpark) will host Scott Anderson & Scott Dunlop (Wallacetown) in round two after their respective victories away to Finlay Graham & Renny Sloan (Royal Troon) by 1 hole and Gavin Stuart & J P McLaughlin (Braehead) by 2 holes, respectively.

Alister Dick & David Hunter (Troon St Meddans) beat their visitors Ian Kelly & Fraser Maxwell (Ballochmyle) by 2&1 in their round one tie and will now be at home again in round 2, against Glen Martin & Steven Robertson (Routenburn).

Also through to round 2, following a 4&2 home win over Gavin Neil & Neil Robertson (Ayr Seafield), are Alex Patrick & Stephen Bradford (Muirkirk), where they will face another home tie aginst the representatives of either Drongan or Portmann.

Alan & Stuart Pole (Abbotsford) had a single hole local derby win over Stewart Wright & David Gemmell (Tam O Shanter) in round 2 and will be at home in round three against the pairing from either Skelmorlie or Loudoun, while Thomas Freer & Andrew Thomson (Alton) won their home tie in round two against Andrew McGill & Colin McKinnon (Irvine Ravenspark) by 4&2 to progress to round 3, where they wil visit either Redburn or Caprington.
