Malcolm Pennycott (Whiting Bay) extended his lead over Ayrshire Boys Champion Euan Brown (Kilmarnock Barassie) in the Ayrshire Junior Order Of Merit to 95 points after his win in the Ayrshire Boys matchplay at the weekend.
Runner up spot in the same event saw Adam Foley (Ayr Belleisle) close the gap on second placed Brown to just 45 points.
Results from the Caprington, Ayr Belleisle and Kilbirnie boys open events have still to be added.

To the attention of who it may concern...
as a co member and captain of Routenburn G.C i have noticed that the Acheson brothers have not yet been fully recognised at the level they should be .With them both performing out right at their club E.g Rory triumphing in tha recent mens championship final and both brothers meetin in tha of tha juniour section final also rorys superb course record of 63 in a recent qualifying event this is alarming as these players hv tha potential to be potentially 1 of tha best in ayrshire given the proper coaching etc as these boys dont recieve any at the present time I hope this reaches some one who can help the boys fulfill their potential thank you for taking the time to read this

Club competitions do not symbolize anything within the Ayrshire Golf Organisation. If you wish for them to be recognized, put their names forward for the Junior Golfer of the Year Award, and also try to encourage them to play in as many other Junior Open competitions, to get recognied for shooting good scores, as I have yet to see either boy shooting a low score and winning any Junior Open in the Ayrshire area.
