The Ayrshire team of Harris Fleming (Royal Troon), Scott Newman (West Kilbride), Quintin Dunlop (Turnberry) and Jack Broadfoot (Royal Troon) finished in 8th place among the 15 teams who contested the 2024 Scottish Boys Area Team Championship at Duff House Royal GC on Sunday the 15th of September.
With three scores from four in the afternoon singles counting towards the team total, Harris Fleming, who was under par for most of his round, was best for Ayrshire with a 3 over par score of 71, one ahead of bot Quintin Dunlop and Scott newman, with Jack Broadfoot's 82 being the non counting score.
The afternoon singles performance moved Ayrshire up to 8th place overall with a team total of 369. Lothians took thew title with a team total of 347 with Renfrewshire finishing in the runners up spot, 12 shots adrift on 359
