AYRSHIRE GOLF ASSOCIATION CHARITY GOLF DAY - Inaugural event raises over £4,000 for Ayrshire Cancer Support

The Ayrshire Golf Association held their inaugural Charity Golf day at Rowallan Castle Golf Club on Friday the 13th of September, where the weather was kind, course conditions and post golf catering were excellent and the generosity of those who played resulted in over £4,000 being raised for The Association's partner charity, Ayrshire Cancer Support.

Friends of Rushbury 
Stuart Miller, John Rushbury, Euan Brown, Blair Morton



Played in a four person team texas scramble format, the 'Friends of Rushbury' team of John Rushbury, Blair Morton, Euan Brown and Stuart Miller had the best scratch return of the day with 58 shots.





The President's Men
Stuart Baird, Michael Lappin, Eddie Gilligan, Andrew Gilligan 



Best nett, off their handicap of 6.2, was 'The President's Men' team of Ayrshire Golf Association President Andrew Gilligan, Michael Lappin, Eddie Gilligan and Stuart Baird.

Best Nett - The President's Men - 64 (6.2) = 57.8

2nd Nett - The Golden Oldies - 60 (1.1) = 58.9

3rd Nett - 3 Johnnies & a Bobbie - 62 (2.6) = 59.4

4th Nett - Big Putts - 67 (6.6) = 60.4

Nearest 2nd in one - Andrew Gilligan (Presidents Men) - 7 inches

Nearest 5th in one - Jamie Mclean (Three And a Half Men) - 10 feet 9 inches

Nearest 8th in one - Adam Cairns (St Cuthbert Hackers) - 10 feet 6 inches

Nearest 10th in one - John Rushbury (Friends of Rushbury) - 15 feet 8 inches

Nearest 13th in three - Blair Morton (Friends of Rushbury) - In the hole

Nearest the 17th in one - John Keohone (3 Johnnies & a Bobbie) - 29.5 inches

Nearest the 19th in one - Craig Milby (Big Putts) - 8 feet 10 inches

The Ayrshire Golf Association would like to thank all the clubs, businesses, and individuals who generously donated prizes, rounds of golf, bottles and other items for the competition, fundraising auction and the raffle held on the day.
