A joint second placed scratch score in the recent Ayr Seafield Open secured sufficient order of merit points to move Morton just ahead of Colin Goudie (Ayr Belleisle) at the top of the table.
Aidan Long (Ayr Belleisle) matched Blair Morton's scratch score of 69 on the day to take a share of the order of merit points and consolidate his third place in the table.
Best scratch score of the day was a 64 returned by Ryan Morrison of the host club.
The next local counting event is the McGilchrist Cup at Ardeer on the 17th of June.
