With no local players picking up any points in the Scottish Boys and Girls Open Strokeplay Championships, the first points of the season were recorded at the first of the local evets this season, the Golf South Ayrshire Junior Open, held at Ayr Seafield during the Ayr Golf Festival.
A scratch score of 72 was enough to give Harris Fleming full points, three strokes better than Liam Moran (Irvine) and Lyle Vogwell (West Kilbride) who shared the points for joint second.
The next counting events are the Byrne Howard Trophy at Royal Troon on the 25th of June and the Largs Junior Open on the 29th of June.
