The title holder Blair Morton (Royal Troon) had a 5&3 home win over James McIntyre (Redburn) to book an away tie in the last eight at either Prestwick St. Cuthbert or Turnberry.
The other player through to the last eight is Robert Adams (Abbotsford) who had a notable away win by a single hole against Robbie Stewart (Troon Portland) in his third round tie, and is rewarded with a home tie in the quarter finals against either John Anderson (Skelmorlie) or Craig Hamilton (Ballochjmyle).
The remaining four third round matches are due to be completed by the 25th of June.
