INTERNATIONAL TEAM SELECTIONS - Great Britain & Ireland call up for Ruben Lindsay and Scotland places for Royal Troon juniors

Ayrshire are represented in three international team selections announced recently.

Ruben Lindsay (Turnberry) is one of five Scots named in the nine strong Great Britain & Ireland boys’ team who will play Europe for the Jaques Leglise Trophy at Falsterbo Golf Club in Sweden on the 27th and 28th of August 2021.

Ruben is joined in the team by Cameron Adam (Royal Burgess), Archie Finnie (Royal Burgess), Daniel Bullen (Auchterarder) and Connor Graham (Blairgowrie).

The rest of the team comprises England’s Jack Bigham (Harpenden), Josh Hill (Trump International Dubai) and Harley Smith (The Rayleigh Club) and Ireland’s Joshua Hill (Calgorm Castle).

Also announced this week is the Scotland Boys’ and Girls’ teams who will contest the Under 16 Quadrangular matches at Donabate, Ireland, from the 24th to the 26th of August, which features two Ayrshire players.

Dylan Cairns (Royal Troon) is in the six strong Boys’ team along with Harry Bent (Gullane), Connor Graham (Blairgowrie), Oliver and Samuel Mukherjee (Gullane) and Niall Donegan (Meadows).

The four strong girls’ team features Freya Russell (Royal Troon) alongside Summer Elliot (Nairn Dunbar), Jodie Graham (Hamilton), and Ruby Watt (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre)
