AYRSHIRE JUNIOR ORDER OF MERIT - Harvey Broadfoot well ahead in title race

Harvey Broadfoot (Troon Welbeck) has established a commanding lead in the chase for the Ayrshire Junior Order of Merit title after recent performances.

Wins in the Ayrshire Boys Championship and Ayrshire Boys Matchplay Championship along with maximum points at the recent Turnberry Junior Open have allowed him to establish a 300 point lead in the title chase, with the points for just four counting events still to be added.

Points at the recent Ballochmyle Junior Open has moved Alex Dean (Irvine) into second place in the table, marginally ahead of Max Barclay (Ayr Belleisle) in third.

The points from the Ayr Belleisle Junior Open on Thursday the 12th of August have still to be added, whilst the three events still to be played are the Byrne Howard Junior Open at Royal Troon on the 22nd of August, the Prestwick St Nicholas Junior Open on the 12th of September and the irvine Junior Open on the 20th of September.
