TROON LINKS JUNIOR OPEN - Entries now being taken for the Tom Lehman Trophies event

Entries are now being taken for the 2021 Troon Links Junior Open, for the Tom Lehman Trophies.

Administered by Golf South Ayrshire, the Ayrshire Junior Order of Merit event takes place on Tuesday the 27th of July.

Entry is £5, and entries can be submitted direct to the organisers at www.golfsouthayrshire.com

GOWF CUP - Doc Thom counting event at Loudoun cancelled for 2021

The 2021 Doc Thom Ayrshire Order of Merit counting event, The Gowf Cup, will not take place at Loudoun in 2021, but will return in 2022.

A change of date was considered this year due to various circumstances, but it recently transpired that the club had no suitable alternative date available, and with less than three weeks left until the original scheduled dates, organisers had insufficient time to put everything in,[place for the event this year, leading to the cancellation.

The championship will however return in 2022, on a date to be confirmed in due course.

TROON ST MEDDANS OPEN - Entries now being taken for Doc Thom Order of Merit event

Entries are now being taken for the 2021 Troon St Meddans Open, a counting event for the Doc Thom Ayrshire Order of Merit.

The event takes place on Saturday the 7th of August over the Troon Lochgreen course. Entry fee is £10.00 and there are prizes in three handicap classes as well as other novelty prizes.

1st - £120, 2nd - £80, 3rd - £60, 4th - £40, 5th – £30, 6th – 20, 7th - £10

 Plus:

Optional sweep for lowest nett score and 2’s

And prizes for:

Beat the pro (6th hole)

Closest to the pin (10th hole)

Closest to the pin in 2  (17th hole)

 C.O.N.G.U. handicap indexes apply. All ties will be decided on the best inward half. No competitor may win more than one prize. The committee reserves the right to adjust the prize fund dependent on the number of entries. Members must be members of C.O.N.G.U. affiliated clubs. The organising committee’s decision will be final with all matters. ENTRIES CLOSE Saturday July 24th  2021. Entries can only be accepted if accompanied by the entry fee.
