Michael Stewart (Troon Welbeck), who is presently studying in his secod year at East Tennessee State University, scored a second win on the US College circuit recently in the Coca Cola Wofford Invitational at Country Club of Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Stewart birdied the final hole, getting up and down from over 100 yards, to win by a single shot.
Opening with a 72, Stewart had a second round of 66 which bettered his lowest score of the 2009 - 2010 college season by three strokes, before closing with a 71 for seven under par, 209.
Joint runners up on 210 was Michael Stewart's teammate Seamus Power from Waterford, who had rounds of 68, 71 and 71, and Jacob Pastor (Charleston Southern) with rounds of 72, 70 and 68.
East Tennesssee State, with a team score of 847, won the team title ahead of USC Upstate on 862 and Wofford College on 863. 13 teams were in the fieeld.
