Ayrshire Ladies Champion, Lesley Hendry (Largs Routenburn) and former professional Brian Moore (Largs) were edged into the runners up spot by a single shot at the 2005 Scottish Mixed Foursomes competition at Braehead on Sunday 11th September.
In the event, jointly promoted by the Scottish Ladies Golfing Association and the Scottish Golf Union, Hendry and Moore recorded a one under par 69, which was only beaten by the defending champions, Craig Watson (East Renfrewshire), the former Amateur Champion, and girl prodigy Carly Booth (Auchterarder), who covered both halves of the course in 34 shots, for a 68 total.
