Ballochmyle have made the first move in the bid for a place in the final of the 2005 Ayrshire Junior Golf League Championship, with a 4-2 home win in the first leg of their match against West Kilbride.
Jordan Fleming, Gary Patterson and David Cunningham led by example with wins over Darren Kean, Martin Bell and Michael Roos respectively, whislt Craig Nicol ensured and advantage for the home side with a 3 & 2 win over Ross De Courcy in the fifth tie. Despite losing the first three ties, Grant Weir and Kieran Howie kept West Kilbride hopes very much alive with wins over Gary Herbertson and Michael Mullen in the reamining two ties.
