AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE - League Championship latest

In the LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP, all four qualifying sections are under way, with the winners in each section progressing to the semi finals in August.

In Section A, Ballochmyle opened their campaign with a creditable 3 - 3 draw at St. Cuthbert, before getting the better of their local rivals with a 4 - 2 win in their visit to New Cumnock.

After a good start, St. Cuthbert suffered their first defeat of the season, defeated 3.5 - 2.5 at Routenburn, although they recovered in their next match with a 3 - 3 draw at Annanhill.

Largs have taken a clear lead in section B, beating St. Meddans away and Beith at home, both by 4 - 2, in the opening two matches in the section. Present positions are :-
