AYRSHIRE GOLF ASSOCIATION - 2005 MATCHPLAY CHAMPIONSHIP - McEwan and Addison on track for all Kilmarnock Barassie final

Steven McEwan and David Addison are on course to make the 2005 Match Play final an all Kilmarnock Barassie affair after the quarter finals were completed at Prestwick St. Cuthbert on Tuesday night.

Steven McEwan (Barassie) won through to the penultimate stage with a 4 & 3 win over Tom Fraser (Annanhill).

McEwan now faces a tough match against the defending champion, David McLure (Troon Welbeck) who had a convincing 5 & 4 win over Alan Dickie (Kilmarnock Barassie).

David Addison (Barassie) booked his place in the second semi final with a narrow one hole victory, ending the hopes of David Glass (Prestwick St. Cuthbert).

In the semi final, Addison faces former internationalist Gavin Lawrie (Prestwick St. Nicholas) who defeated Nicky Sinclair (Kilmarnock Barassie) by 4 & 3 in the quarter finals.

Wednesday night semi final ties are :-

1700 - David McLure (Welbeck) Vs. Steven McEwan (Barassie)

1715 - David Addison (Barassie) Vs. Gavin Lawrie (St. Nicholas)
