THE AYRSHIRE JUG - Five of eight quarter finalists confirmed for mixed greensomes

 Five of the eight quarter finalists in the 2024 Ayrshire mixed greensomes knockout competition for The Ayrshire Jug have been confirmed, with the remaining three third round matches due to be completed by the 30th of June.

Susan Smith & Roddie Middleton (Loudoun) had a win at the first extra hole over Carol Moffat & James McGhee (Caprington/Loudoun) to set up a home tie in the last eight against Jean Capes & Brian Fulton (Largs).

Iain & Shirley Campbell (Prestwick St Cuthbert) ousted the title holders Gillian & Billy Pollock (Skelmorlie) at Skelmorlie with a notable win at the second extra hole, and are rewarded with a home tie in the quarter finals against either Alan & Elizabeth Stewart (Ayr Belleisle/Belleisle Ladies) or Fran & david Hadden (Kilmarnock Barassie)

Joy & David Currie (Loudoun) had a 5&4 win at home to Patricia Harris & Neil Wilson (Ballochmyle) in round three and will be at home to either Irene & David Hodge (Largs) or Scott Gilchrist & Sally Hamilton (Loudoun) in the last eight.

Graeme & Alyson Hutton (Skelmorlie) beat Margaret & John Dalziel (Loudoun) at the first extra hole at Skelmorlie in round three and in the quarter finals will be at home again to either Neil & Sheila Kennedy (Loudoun) or Alison Malcolm & Andrew Gordon (Belleisle Ladies/ Ayr Belleisle)
