In THE AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP, the final
place from Section A is still very much up for grabs, while West Kilbride have
secured their final place from Section B.
In SECTION A, Prestwick St Cuthbert boosted their hopes with
a 3.5-2.5 win away to Kilmarnock Barassie recently, to keep the pressure on
joint section leaders Turnberry and Ayr Belleisle.
With nine results still to be posted in the section, present

In SECTION B, West Kilbride had a 4-2 win away to Troon
Welbeck in their penultimate fixture of the qualifying section, which secured
their place in the final of the championship for 2024.

In the UNDER 16 KNOCKOUT TROPHY results from three of the
four second round matches, due to be completed by the 30th of June,
have still to be posted.
The draw for the semi-finals is:-

Prestwick St Nicholas or Turnberry vs Prestwick St Cuthbert
In the WALLACE THORNTON TROPHY, two first round match scores
have still to be posted.

Kilmarnock Barassie Vs. West Kilbride
In the AYRSHIRE JUNIOR CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS TROPHY
competition, Ryan Kennedy (Loudoun), the title holder, won his first round tie at home to Josh
Erskine (Caprington) at the third extra hole, and received a bye into the semi-finals
after Ballochmyle scratch from the event.
Royal Troon’s Scott Newman (Ayrshire Boys Champion) beat
Jack Broadfoot (Troon Welbeck) in their first round tie, and is due to play
either Sean Hillis (Kilmarnock Barassie) or Luke Jones (Prestwick St Nicholas)
in the second round, the result of the latter match still to be confirmed.
The other second round ties, due to be completed by the 30th
of June, see Aidan Hay (Irvine) at home to Connor Wills (Ayrshire Boys
matchplay Champion) and Gregor Hay (Ayr
Belleisle) at home to Finlay Watt (West Kilbride).
The semi final draw for the competition will be made at a
later date.
