AYRSHIRE LADIES COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP - Quarter final defeat for leading qualifier

Pauline Patrick (Irvine) Golf knocked out the top qualifier, Catherine Malcolm ( Prestwick St Cuthbert) in the quarter final of the Ayrshire Ladies County Golf Championship, at Glasgow Gailes, on Tuesday afternoon, 11th April. 


Pauline beat the 3 time champion by 3&2, and will now face County Captain, Liz Keohone (Loudoun) in the first semi-final. Liz defeated last years runner up Lorna Ronnie (Kilmarnock Barassie) in a very close match which went to the 18th, Liz winning by one hole.

The second top qualifier, Audrey Thompson (Loudoun) won through against Catherine Garrett (West Kilbride) by 6&5. She will face 1985 champion Jane Finnie (Troon Ladies) who beat her fellow club mate Sara Ann Bottomley by 6&4.
