Ayr Belleisle and Turnberry opened their title challenges in their respective Ayrshire Scratch leagues for 2014 with good home wins over their opponents.In DIVISION 2, Belleisle hammered Caprington 6 - 0 in their opening fixture at the Ayr course. In the same division, Prestwick St Cuthbert started their challenge with a good 3 - 3 draw away to West Kilbride.
In DIVISION 3, Turnberry beat their visitors Prestwick St Nicholas by 4.5 - 1.5 in their opening fixture whilst New Cumnock had a narrow 3.5 - 2.5 victory when hosting Kilbirnie Place.
In DIVISION 4, Doon Valley are still looking for their first win of the season after going dow by 4 - 2 on their visit to play Troon St Meddans at Troon.
