The two semi final matches in the 2014 Ayrshire Matchplay Championship were suspended on Wednesday night, 7th May, due to the greens at Kilmarnock (Barassie) becoming waterlogged as a result of persistent heavy rain.When play was suspended, Craig Hamilton (Ballochmyle) was three up against Stephen Spence (Royal Troon) after 8 holes whilst Steven Wallace (Prestwick St Cuthbert) was one up on Scott Brown (Turnberry) after 7 holes.
The semi final matches will resume, at the point where they were suspended, on Thursday evening, with the final now rescheduled to be played on Friday evening, 9th May.
