BELLEISLE CUP - Wallace wins golf week opener

Steven Wallace

Steven Wallace (Prestwick St Cuthbert) won the traditional opener to the Ayr Golf Week, the Belleisle Cup, on Sunday 3rd June with two excellent rounds of 69 for a four under par total of 138 over the 36 hole competition.

Having matched local hopeful Keith Hamilton with a best of the morning 69 in round 1, Wallace repeated his score in the afternoon whilst hamilton faded to a two over par 73, giving Wallace a four stroke victory.
