With all the third round matches due for completion by 24th June, three of the quarter finalists in the 2012 Ayrshire Champion Of Champions competition are now known.David Kinnell (Saxone) had a 5 & 4 victory over his visitor, Jim Anderson (Skelmorlie) and now faces an away tie against either James Graham (Doon Valley) and Robert Steele (Prestwick St Cuthbert).
Also through to the last eight is Paul Giffney (Ardeer) who returned from hsi trip to play Gary Jordan (Crosshouse) with a 4 & 2 win. Giffney faces another away tie in the quarter finals, against either Euan Brown (Kilmarnock Barassie) or Scott Gilchrist (Loudoun).
The other player through to the last eight is Gordon Boyle (Ayr Belleisle) whose 3 & 2 home win over Craig Robertson (Abbotsford) sets him up with a home tie in the quarter finals against either Alan McNeil (Largs Routenburn) or Alan Poole (Prestwick St Nicholas)/
