McDonald, Booth and Conor Wilson from Plymouth University finished the event, which covered two rounds on the Eden course on Monday and one on the Old Course on Tuesday, tied on 215. At the first play off hole Wilson found the burn and was eliminated.
Booth closed out McDonald on the second play off hole, the 18th on the Old Course, with an 8 foot putt for birdie.
Curtis Cup reserve Kelsey MacDonald (Nairn), who is also a student at Stirling University, won the womens title for the second time
