The first two results in the 2012 Ayrshire Champion Of Champions competition have been recorded this week.Jim Anderson of Skelmorlie was first to post a win this season with a 2&1 victory at home against George Ross (Malletsheugh). Anderson now faces an away tie against either Steven Murray (Troon Welbeck) or Nicol Auld (Whiting Bay).
In the other match played recently, William Wilson of Ballochmyle secured a place in round 2 with a 7&6 win over Brian Robertson (Auchenharvie 88).
Wilson will be away from home in round 2, against either Russell Wyper (Ayr Dalmilling) or gary Jordan (Crosshouse).
The remaining 13 first round ties are due to be completed by 15th April
