Entries for the 2008 Junior Golf Pre-handicap Open, to be held at Troon Fullarton Golf Course on Monday 4th August, close on Monday 21st July.
The succesful South Ayrshire Junior Golf Pre-handicap Open was introduced a few years ago and is open to all boys and girls aged 8 years and over and under the age of 18 who have not yet achieved an official golf handicap.
The competition is played from specially installed forward junior tees on Troon Fullarton Golf Course with boys and girls playing from the same tees.
The emphasis of this competition is participation and as such a goody bag will be given to each competitor rather than having a prize list and only rewarding those who score well.

The Pre handicap Junior open will be held on the day before the Tom Lehman Trophy competition, which takes place on Tuesday 5th August.
The Tom Lehman Trophy competition is thought to be the largest single day Junior open competition in the country, if not the world, and will be played, in various categories, over the Lochgreen, Darley and Fullarton courses.
