AYRSHIRE SENIORS CHAMPIONSHIP - Ronnie Potts wins innaugural Sandy Provan Trophy competition

Former Ayrshire Golf Association President Ronnie Potts (Irvine Ravenspark) - pictured receiving the trophy from Sandy Provan - won the innaugural Ayrshire Seniors Competition for the Sandy Provan Trophy, played at Kilmarnock (Barassie) on Tuesday 22nd July.

Potts, the present manager of the Ayrshire County Team returned a net 71 off his 9 handicap to take the trophy by one shot.

Best scratch score of the day of 77 was posted by David Bruce, also of Irvine Ravenspark.

In blustery conditions the CSS of the day increased to 74 ( + 2 )
