SCOTTISH BOYS STROKEPLAY - Stewart opens with 70 but trails by 3

Michael Stewart (Troon Welbeck) opened with a two under par 70 at Blairgowrie on Tuesday 22 July, in his bid to add the National Boys Strokeplay title to the Scottish Boys matchplay he won earlier this year.

Kyle Smith (Kilmarnock Barassie) also opened well with a 1 under par 71.

Leader after the first round is Mark Bookless (Sandyhills) who came back in an incredible 30 shots, six under par, for a total of 67.
