AYRSHIRE FOURBALL - West Kilbride and Prestwick St. Nicholas secure second round places

The chase for the 2006 Ayrshire Fourball title has begun, with two of the 12 first round ties completed to date.

Father and son pairing of Cameron and Fraser McLatchie, representing West Kilbride won through by the narrowest of margins, on the final green, in their home tie against the saxone pairing of W. Creevy and J. Campbell.

The West Kilbride pair now play host to R. McCubbin and G. Jess of Durward in round 2.

In the other completed tie, Roger Parry and Alan Duffy of Prestwick St. Nicholas were 4 up after 10 against Sean Ingle and Gavin Stuart of Braehead when the match was conceded to the home side.

Parry and Duffy now play host to Glen and Scott Kelly of Tam O'Shanter in round 2.

The remaining first round ties are due to be completed by 23rd April, with the second round to be completed by 28th May.
