The 2024 final of the handicap club team knockout competition for The President's Putter will be contested by Ardeer and Moorpark.
In their semi final at home to The Chase, played on the evening of Thursday the 22nd of August, the Ardeer team won through by 2-1 to take their place in the final.
Heavy overnight rain meant the course was playing it full length of 6500yds.
The Chase struck the first blow in the top singles tie with John Brodie defeating Jim Lewis of the home side by 2&1.
However, Ardeer hit back when Scott Brown defeated Jim Burnett in the second singles by 4&3 to level the tie and the comeback was completed when Scott Gibson and Alan Hodge took control of the foursome match against John Cathcart and Robert Gilchrist winning five holes in a row to record a 5&3 victory and secure Ardeer's place in the final with a 2 - 1 match score.
In the other semi final played recently, Moorpark travelled to play Royal Troon and recorded a 2-1 away win to go through to the final.
