AYRSHIRE MEN'S HANDICAP LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP - Golf South Ayrshire perform stuinning comback to claim semi final spot

The Golf South Ayrshire GC

team are the first to secure their place in the semi finals of the Ayrshire Mens' Handicap League Championship after a stunning fightback in their quarter final match on Thursday evening, the 1st of August.

In the away leg recently the Golf South Ayrshire team lost by 5-1 to Kilbirnie Place but fought back to secure a 5.5 - 0.5 win in the return leg at Ayr Belleisle to go through to the semi finals with a 6.5-5.5 match score.

In the semi finals Golf South Ayrshire will play either Auchenharvie 88, who have a 4-2 advantage over their quarter final opponents, Ardeer after the first leg of their tie.

Moorpark are also through to the semi finals after their 5.5 - 0.5 win over Alton in the first leg of their quarter final, their oppoonents conceding the tie as they were unable to field a full compliment of six players for the return leg due to holiday commitments. 

Moorpark will face either Portmann or Redburn in the semi finals, who still have it all to play for after a 3-3 draw in the opening leg of their quarter final.
