Turnberry have moved into pole position in the Ayrshire Scratch League Division 2, after completing their ties in the 2022 competition.
Home wins by 5 – 1 and 4.5 – 1.5 over Ballochmyle and West
Kilbride respectively, in their final two fixtures of the season, moved Turnberry
ahead of Ballochmyle in the title chase, with just two fixtures remaining to be
played in the division.
A 4 – 2 win at Rowallan Castle for Ballochmyle kept their
title hopes on track, whilst confirming Rowallan castle’s automatic relegation
this season, whilst a 4 – 2 defeat away from home against Caprington means that
West Kilbride need something from their final fixture to avoid the relegation
play-off spot.
The remaining fixtures are both home ties for Ballochmyle,
against Rowallan Castle and West Kilbride, and Ballochmyle need two wins ensure
victory in the title chase.
