The winning Ayrshire team at Ayr Seafield

In the four Under 16 ties, Cameron Johnstone (Troon Welbeck) marked his Ayrshire debut with a 6&4 win to secure the first point for the team but it was the visitors from Stirlingshire who then took the initiative, with Ross McDonald (Kilmarnock Barassie) and Jack Allan (Ballochmyle) both losing their ties by 3 & 2.

In the remaining under 16 tie, the lead tie on the course, Ruben Lindsay (Ayr Belleisle) was three down with three to play but fought back magnificently to secure an all important half match, which ultimately provided the winning half point for the team.
