AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE - Competitions reach the semi final stages.

Three of the Ayrshire Junior Golf League competitions are at the semi final stage, with the draws for the penultimate rounds being confirmed this week.

In the UNDER 16 KNOCKOUT TROPHY, the semi finals are

Irvine Vs Ballochmyle
and
Ayr Belleisle Vs Troon Welbeck

These matches are due to be completed by the end of August.

In the WALLACE THORNTON TROPHY, Largs conceded their quarter final tie to irvine, following a 4 - 0 home defeat in the first leg, whilst the tie between Loudoun and Troon Welbeck has still to be completed, with Loudoun holding a 2.5 - 1.5 advantage with their home leg still to be played.

In the semi finals, which are to be completed by the end of August also, Troon Welbeck or Loudoun will play Irvine whilst Kilmarnock Barassie and Ayr Belleisle will play off for a place in the final.

In the CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS TROPHY, Graeme Greer (Prestwick St Nicholas) had a 5 & 3 win away from home in the quarter finals against hamish Mills (Largs), to book his place in the semi finals.

The semi final draw is

Jack Thomas (Ayrshire Boys Champion) Vs Jordan Fraser (Ayr Belleisle)
and
Robert Clark (Ballochmyle) Vs Graeme Greer (Prestwick St Nicholas)

in the AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP, Ayr Belleisle and Kilmarnock (Barassie) still lead their respective sections in their bid to set up a repeat of the 2014 final again this year.
