INNES McQUEEN TROPHY - Ayrshire ladies team win trophy for the first time

The Ayrshire Ladies team won the Innes McQueen Triphy for the first time on Sunday 10th May, in the annual fixture against the Ayrshire Mens team.

In the third year of competition for the trophy, presented by Cathie McQueen and her family in memory of her husband, former Ayrshire Golf Association President Innes McQueen, the ladies team recorded a 3 - 1 win at Loudoun Gowf Club to take possession of the trophy for 2015.

The individual match results were :-

Samantha McKay (Loudoun) & Rachael Foster (Turnberry) lost to Declan Chalmers (Ballochmyle) & Jordan Fraser (Ayr Belleisle) by 3 & 2

Lesley Barker (Kilmarnock Barassie) & Ann Wallace (Prestwick St Nicholas) beat Stuart Easton (Irvine) & Jordan Keohome (Loudoun) by 1 hole.

Catherine Malcolm (Prestwick St Cuthbert) & Linzi Allan (West Kilbride) beat Sandy Walker (Ardeer) & Gordon Boyle (Turnberry) by 1 hole.

Liz Keohone (Loudoun) & Debbie Watt (Belleisle Ladies) beat Stuart Miller (Kilmarnock Barassie) & Euan Brown (Kilmarnock Barassie) by 6 & 4

Cathie McQueen presented the trophy to the winning Ladies team at the conclusion of the match.
