SCOTTISH SENIORS HOME INTERNATIONALS - No Ayrshire representation after surprise omission of Miller

The Scotland team for the Senior Home Internationals, to be held at Westport Golf Club, County Mayo, in Ireland from 29th September to 1st October has been announced.

There will be no Ayrshire representation this year to follow Ronnie McLellan's call up last year, after the surprise omission of David J. Miller (Kilmarnock Barassie) from the Scotland team this season.

Despite reaching the final of the Scottish Seniors Matchplay Championship and four top four finishes and a further top ten finish in Senior Order Of merit events on his way to third place overall in the Scottish Seniors Order Of merit, there is no place for Miller in the seven man Scotland squad.

The selected players are :-

Ian Hutcheon (Monifieth)
Gordon MacDonald (Callander)
John Fraser (Royal Burgess)
Robert Stewart (Tulliallan)
Alexander Pirie (Hazlehead)
George Paterson (Northern)
Derek Murphy (Kinross)
