PLAY ON !!! - Reprieve in sight for Dalmilling

October 7th looks to be D-day for the future of the Ayr Dalmillng Golf Course when South Ayrshire Councillors are due to vote on a number of matters, including a long term plan for council run golf courses throughout South Ayrshire.

It is understood that this is expected to include a recommendation to scrap the planned closure of Dalmilling in the new year.

With the recent announcement of funding for a new Ayr Academy and a council quote stating that the Dalmilling course is not the prefereed site for a new school, hopes are high that the decision to close Dalmilling will be overturned and the facility will remain for the benefit of the present users and golfing generations to come.
