In the singles, Ayrshire trailed by 3 - 2 with only one tie remaining on the course, leaving the overall score at 4 - 4.
In the final match on the course, Tommy McInally faced a 6 foot putt for a one hole win over Murdo Carmichael, and the Loudoun player showed real resilience by holing the putt for a one hole win to give Ayrshire the title by 5 - 4.
