Cairney - pictured right - the 2006 winner who was also a member of the Ayrshire team which won the Area team championship earlier this month, secured the totle with a win in the Largs & Millport Trophy event at Largs Routenburn and a top 4 finish in the final counting event, the Arroll Cup at Prestwick St. Nicholas.
Runner up this year was Michael Smyth (Royal Troon) with Cairney's clubmate and fellow Area Team Championship winning team member George Robertson in thir place, edging SGU national Order Of Merit winner Steven Mcewan (Caprington)into fourth place by a mere two points.
