Ayrshire are through to the semi finals of the SGU Scottish Area Team Championships after a 7.5 - 1.5 win over Argyll & Bute in their final Group C qualifying match, played at Troon Portland on Sunday 21st September, gave the Ayrshire team their third successive win in the 2008 competition.
The Ayrshire team (pictured below with President Ricky Magee)got off to the perfect start with a clean sweep of the morning foursomes and continued the good work in the afternoon, with four wins and only one defeat and one half match from the six singles.

The Ayrshire team now travel to Tain for the Area Team Championship finals on 4th & 5th October, which will be their first appearance at this stage since the 1996 finals at Machrihanish.
In the semi finals Ayrshire will face The South Of Scotland, whilst the other semi finals will feature Renfrewshire and Lanarkshire
