Scotland suffered a third successive defeat in the 2008 Boys Home Internationals, played at Royal County Down this week,when they lost out by 9 - 6 to Wales, giving Scotland the wooden spoon in the series.
Michael Stewart (Troon Welbeck) and Kyle Smith (Kilmarnock Barassie)were again paired in the morning foursomes but went down by two holes to Ben Enoch and Christopher Nugent as Scotland lost the foursomes by 3 - 2.
In the afternoon singles, Michael Stewart got revenge on Enoch, beating him 2 & 1 whilst Kyle Smith lost by the same margin to Rhys Pugh as Scotland lost the singles 6 - 4 and the match by 9 - 6.
Kyle Smith and Michael Stewart now travel to Little Aston for the British Boys Championship next week.
