AYRSHIRE LADIES COUNTY GOLF ASSOCIATION - Thomson takes the honours at Ballochmyle

Audrey Thomson of Loudoun Gowf Club recorded the best scratch score in the recent A.L.C.G.A. Thistle Brooches competition, held at Ballochmyle on Tuesday 14 September, her 8 over par score of 78 being the best on a difficult day for scoring, which saw the C.S.S rise by 3 to 73.

Best Silver went to Morag McPherson of Kilmarnock Barassie with 80 - 8 = 72, who pipped County Captain Eila MacLennan, also from Kilmarnock Barassie, and Christine McClure (Irvine) who both recorded net 74's, the Captain taking second spot by virtue of the better inward half.

In the Bronze section, Alison Jamieson (West Kilbride) recorded the best nett score of the day with 91 - 21 = 70, finishing 6 shots ahead of Sheila Maxwell (Belleisle Ladies) and Val Smith (Kilmarnock Barassie), with Maxwell taking second place by virtue of the better inward half.
