AYRSHIRE GOLF ASSOCIATION - Crawford maintains Order Of Merit lead

With only the Arroll Cup at Prestwick St. Nicholas on 18th September left to count, Barry Crawford (West Kilbride) maintains a sizeable lead in the chase for the 2004 Doc Thom Salver and Order Of Merit title. After the Viking Krus at Largs, and following on from his recent success in winning the Mills Quaich at the Troon Golf Week, Crawford now holds a 170 point lead over his closest rival, David McLure of Ballochmyle. The present positions in the Order Of Merit are:

2 - D. MCLURE ( Ballochmyle) - 195 pts
3 - K. FERGUSSON (Prestwick St. Cuthbert) - 155 pts
