The Ayrshire team who will contest the 2023 Scottish Boys' Area Team Championship at Forrester park GC on Sunday the 17th of September has been announced.
Newly crowned Ayrshire Boys Strokeplay Champion Scott Newman (Royal Troon) is joined in the team with fellow Royal Troon member Connor Wills, who was a member of the Ayrshire team who last won the title in 2021, as well as the 2023 Ayrshire Junior Champion of Champions title holder Ryan Kennedy (Irvine) and Finlay Watt (West Kilbride) who was a semi finalist in the 2023 Ayrshire Boys' matchplay Championship and currently lies second in the Ayrshire Junior Order of Merit.
The championship involved two foursomes scores in the morning and the best three from four singles scores in the afternoon being added to determine the team score.
