BRITISH BOYS AND GIRLS CHAMPIONSHIPS - Jack Broun fails to qualify but Louise Duncan is through to matchplay stages

The Ayrshire players in the British Boys and Girls Championships had mixed fortunes following the completion of the second qualifying rounds on Wednesday 15th August.

In the Boys Championship at Port Stewart & Royal Portrush, Jack Broun (Ayr Belleisle) had a second successive round of 80 to finish on 17 over par and miss the cut for the matchplay stages by eleven shots.

At Ardglass in the Girls Championship, Louise Duncan (West Kilbride) had a 75 in her second round for a twelve over par total to make the cut for the matchplay stages with a shot to spare.

In the first round of the matchplay on Thursday morning, 16th August, Duncan plays Nina Larg from Germany.
