SCOTTISH BOYS AREA TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS - High hopes for Ayrshire success on home turf

Euan Walker
Ayrshire will have high hopes of a successful competition in the 2013 Scottish Boys Area Team Championship which takes place on Sunday 9th June, on home ground over the Prestwick St Cuthbert course.

Callum Gorrie
Ayrshire will field a strong side led by boys internationalist Euan Walker (Kilmarnock Barassie). Also in the four man team is Walker's club mate Callum Gorrie, Louis Murray of Troon Welbeck and Stuart Easton of Irvine, who had a fine start to the season when he reached the quarter finals of the Scottish Boys Championship.

The Ayrshire team will be competing against the best young golfers from the 16 Scottish Golf Union area associations for the title which the host county won in 1998 and 2007.

Louis Murray
Play commences with foursomes on Sunday morning, with both scores counting, followed by singles in the afternoon where three of the four scores will count towards the final team total.

Stuart Easton

Spectators are welcome to come along to Prestwick St Cuthbert on Sunday and support the players competing in the championship.
