GIRLS GOLF - Ayrshire girls selected for national teams



Two Ayrshire girls have been named by the Scottish Ladies Golfing Association as members of representative teams in forthcoming events.

Connie Jaffrey
Connie Jaffrey (Troon Ladies), who won the Ayrshire ladies County Championship for the first time back in April, is one of six players named in the Scotland team for the European Girls' Team Championship, which will be held at Linkopings Golf Club in Sweden from 9th to 13th July.

The full team is :-

Lesley Atkins (Gullane Ladies)
Connie Jaffrey (Troon Ladies)
Fiona Liddell (Schloss Vornholz, Germany)
Heather Munro (Monifieth)
Lauren Whyte (St Regulus)
Clara Young (North Berwick)
 
Emma Hale
Connie's club mate at the Troon Ladies Club, Emma Hale, who was top qualifier in this years Ayrshire Ladies County Championship, has been named as one of two players rto represent Scotland in the Under 16 European Young Masters event at the Hamburger Golf Club in Germany from 25th to 27th July. The other Scotland player named for the event is Fiona Liddell (Schloss Vornholz, Germany).
 
Congratualtions are due to both girls along with best wishes for successful and enjoyable competitions.
