SCOTTISH SENIORS GOLF SOCIETY - David Miller wins season opener at Powfoot

Ayrshire Golf Association Past President David J Miller (Kilmarnock Barassie) has started the Scottish Seniors season in style by winning the South of Scotland seniors open amateur stroke-play tournament over 36 holes at Powfoot Golf Club today, Friday 26th April.

Miller, who is the current Club Champion at his home club, had rounds of 73 and 72 for a one-over-par total of 145. This total gave Miller the title by one shot, ahead of Alan Elder (Kirkcaldy) (73-73) and Lindsay Gordon (Turnhouse) (72-74), both on 146.
Another Turnhouse player, Alastair Taylor was fourth on 147 (75-72).
