Former Rangers and Kilmarnock footballer Hugh Burns (Troon Welbeck) led from the front to win the West Alliance meeting at Falkirk Tryst recently.

Playing in the first game, the the scratch player from Troon Welbeck, who also listed Hearts and Dunfermline amongst hs former football clubs, finished two shots clear of the field with a 66.

Tartan Tour star Stephen Gray (Hayston) and Colville Park tour pro Paul O'Hara shared second place on 68.
