Robert McKnight (Kilmarnock Barassie) was the best placed Ayrshire player in the 2007 Cameron Corbett Vase competition, played over the weekend at Haggs Castle.
The scottish youth cap returned a four rond total of 279, 9 under par, but was still some 8 shots adrift of the winner, Wallace Booth (Comrie).
Fellow Scottish cap, Steven McEwan (Caprington) was a further two shots adrift of McKnight, on 281.
