The Ayrshire Boys Matchplay Championship will be held at Prestwick Golf Club from Thursday 11th to Saturday 13th August 2005, with the players returning the 8 best scratch totals in the Ayrshire Boys Championship at Prestwick St. Nicholas on Thursday 4th August, qualifying to contest the Matchplay title.
Nicky Sinclair (Kilmarnock Barassie), the winner of the Innaugural event in 2003, qualified for the third successive time, and is hoping to improve on his semi final appearance last year.
